We are currently looking for 2 therapy assistants to join our team.

About the role
​

Assist clients in activities and developmental plans set down by the OT
-
Prepare patient information and resources for use in intervention programs and provide accurate and high quality written reports / feedback of assessments and programs. Records to be kept confidential and in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988

Work closely with, and provide advice, consultancy and support to parents, teachers and early childhood staff in the implementation of occupational therapy intervention programs

Maintain a client-centred, flexible approach for the establishment of goals and treatment plans with children and their families, and ongoing evaluation of such programs

Close interaction with the OT and health professional team to discuss client development and intervention, and provide a holistic, client focused service

Prioritise conflicting work demands, managing situations and relationships

Positive promotion of IKOT services, and maintaining effective networks and therapeutic relationships

Travel to clients to provide assessment and treatment (travel costs to be met by the Principal)
About you
​
The successful candidates will possess or be working towards qualifications as a therapy assistant, support worker, teacher's assistant or other relevant qualifications. Previous experience working with children is necessary.

Demonstrate a clear understanding of objectives for therapy support and demonstrate knowledge of clinical reasoning for treatments.

Work under direction and in a spirit that encourages and promotes a positive and productive work environment and relationships

Ability to woke both autonomously and as part of a team.

Demonstrated ability to follow a structured work plan and remain adaptable to change. ​
