We are looking for 3-4 Occupational Therapists to join our vibrant team. we are currently accepting applicants in the following fields:

  • Occupational Therapist – Young Adult. Having been around for over 15 years we have supported many of our clients from childhood to adolescence. These clients are now transitioning into young adulthood and are struggling to find ongoing supports. We would like a dedicated Occupational Therapist(s) to continue to support these amazing people and their families in this next phase in their lives.

  • Paediatric Occupational Therapist. We would love to expand the services available to the Tasmanian community. Currently there are too many children on waitlists across the state. We are looking for several Paediatric Occupational Therapists to join us to remove the barriers service limitations for Tasmanian children. We are open to applicants who would like to work in most areas of the state, with Hobart and the North West region being current priorities.

  • New Graduate Occupational Therapists. If you are a new graduate or are graduating soon, we welcome your applications for the above positions. We have established a very supportive workplace for all our therapists. We pride ourselves on the professional development opportunities, supervision structures, processes, and resources we have available to support our Team.

Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy or

  • Master in Occupational Therapy

 

What you will be asked to do?

  • Assess and establish programs for children and young adults predominantly aged between 0 and 30 years, presenting with diagnoses inclusive of Autism, Global Developmental Delay, Developmental Co-ordination Disorder and neurological issues

  • Work within the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission

  • Provide high quality written reports for occupational therapy assessments and programs

  • Liaison with health and allied health professionals and representatives from other relevant major services including NDIS, Early Childhood Intervention Service, schools and childcare settings

  • Maintain a family-centred, flexible approach for the establishment of goals and treatment plans with children and their families, and ongoing evaluation of such programs

  • Work closely with and provide advice, consultancy and support to parents, teachers and early childhood staff in the implementation of occupational therapy programs

  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure confidentiality of records and information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988

  • Operate at the practice, schools, childcare centres, and private residences
