Hi, I’m Daniella,

I have worked for the past 26 years as a teacher’s assistant in partnership with young children with additional needs and their families. I have recently joined the IKOT team as a OT assistant part time also, as I am always looking to extend my skill set which has made me excited about the opportunity that has opened up for me at Independent Kids.

 

I have a keen interest in working with people with ASD and draw on the DIR Floortime model to interact through play. I have completed Cert IV in Education and ongoing PD training to develop my knowledge of disability. I particularly value my Family Partnership training which has helped me to develop good relationships with families.

In my spare time I enjoy my country life, time with my family, gardening, camping and bushwalking.
