Therapy Assistants
Therapy Assistants work with children and young adults in delivering a therapy plan set by your therapist. They provide intensive support to achieve goals. Our therapy assistants can work in your home, school or childcare.
Our Therapy Assistants will:

Work to a therapy plan set by your therapist

Provide you with regular update reports

Regularly liaise with your Therapist to discuss your therapy plan

Experience:
I have 12 months of experience in therapy at Independent Kids and have
completed my qualifications as an Allied Health Assistant. I also have experience supporting friends and family with mental health and daily activities in a non-professional setting, which has
strengthened my empathy and communication skills.
What I love about my work:
I love my job as an occupational therapy assistant because of the meaningful connections I build with clients and their families. Hearing about their progress from their perspective and seeing the pride in their achievements is incredibly rewarding, especially knowing I played a role in supporting their goals. I also feel lucky to work with an amazing team that, make every day fulfilling and enjoyable.
